The application process for the 2026 IJO Scholarship has officially begun! The following legacy scholarships will offer financial support to those wishing to further their education within the jewelry industry. These scholarships are open to all IJO members, both retailers and vendors, their families, and employees. The Bill Roberts Memorial Scholarship fund will award up to $5,000 annually and will be distributed amongst applicants in denominations as IJO sees fit. These scholarships will be awarded to individuals seeking to continue their educational journey at the Gemological Institute of American (GIA), on campus residency, online course, and/ or lab classes. A full list of eligible education offered by GIA can be found at www.gia.edu. The Richard Swetz Memorial Scholarship will award $5,000 annually amongst applicants as IJO sees fit. These scholarships are awarded to individuals seeking to continue their educational journey in any jewelry related curriculum. This can be applied to bench jewelry, design, craftmanship, business classes or other jewelry related courses including the IJO Next Gen Annual Event. The Banice & Beverly Bazar Memorial Pearl Scholarship, presented by Imperial Pearl, in memory of their founders, will award one applicant the tuition for the Pearls Course offered by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
